I bought my first Italian Greyhound in 1985. It was my first big "purchase"
after the university graduation. My first pet was of Czech origins – DINO
Ali-Ven, a fawn IG, born April 15, 1985. Unfortunately he had only
one testicle so I could not to do shows with him. However he was my
charming companion during the time of my husband’s military service. I
did not feel so alone. Dino was using perfectly his racing skills. He
won the title of Racing Champion of Czechoslovakia 1986 and the Racing
Winner
of the Year 1 987. His untimely demise caused by a car accident
was a serious loss for us.

Nevertheless I wanted to have a show dog. Therefore I decided to
buy another IG. This time I considered contact some breeder in
France.
I was extremely lucky to find Jean-Luc and Sylvie Juin
of des Trois Pyramides kennel. In 1987 we took a big beauty - a
black male BIRICHINO Des Trois Pyramides (Vindhauses
Marco x Angelina du Manoir des Ombreuses, born December 22,
1986). He was very successful in show rings and he became
Interchampion and Champion of former Czechoslovakia. It is
necessary to point out that in these pre-revolutionary times we
had only a very limited possibility to travel abroad. My second
IG imported from des Trois Pyramides kennel was a fawn male CHIC
Des Trois Pyramides. Half of Czech and half of French blood
(Italos Adubop Lerak x
Aquarella Des Trois Pyramides) he also gained some success on
shows but not so many as Birichino. He is still with us and with
his admirable 15 and half years age he became a doyen of our
pack.

In 1992 the third des Trois Pyramides moved to Czechia –
another black male - HANNIBAL des Trois Pyramides.
Hannibal is a really marvelous IG. Looking at his own page you
can see all his successes. It was a great pleasure to handle and
show such an excellent dog. |

1996 Birichino has gone over the rainbow bridge and my home with
only two IG seemed to me too empty. Fortunately at Jean-Luc’s
kennel one black puppy was available and we traveled in December
1996 2400 km there and back to take Mistral. He was never shown
on exhibitions, he is “only” a dog for fun and everybody
loves him. |

Des Trois Pyramides

After 12 years of my life with Italian Greyhounds I considered I know
enough to try to breed myself. I wanted to take a female from Des Trois
Pyramides. I was waiting for more than one year and I became very
impatient. At the end of 1998 Jean-Luc proposed me an adult female Nina-Rosa.
She was a fabulous Christmas present for me. In 1999 she was mated with
Hannibal and gave us three wonderful puppies (you can see them in a
section PUPPIES). Unfortunately it was but the only litter issued from
her. Therefore Romanzia
was introduced to our pack. When she gave us the second litter of Gil-Endor
kennel I realized this is the right time to prepare my web page
with my kennel presentation. So here we are… |
